Canceling a Feedback request: handling unforeseen circumstances
If you find yourself in a situation where you need to cancel a feedback request, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Feedback requests" page in your BIMINDI dashboard.
- Locate the specific feedback request that needs to be canceled.
- Click on the "Contact Seeker" option within the feedback request box.
- From the contact options, select "Cancel feedback request."
You will then see an open text field where you can share the reason for canceling the feedback request. We provide a suggested placeholder message to help you get started:
"Hi [seeker's name], I regret to inform you that I need to cancel your feedback request. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to provide the quality feedback you deserve due to limited capacity on my end. I apologize for any inconvenience caused."
Once you have entered the necessary information, click the "Cancel feedback request" button. This action will immediately cancel the feedback request and send an email notification to the seeker, informing them about the cancellation. The email will include the message you wrote, explaining the reason for the cancellation.
It's important to use the "Canceling a Feedback Request" option in exceptional circumstances where you are unable to fulfill the feedback request and provide the quality feedback expected. By promptly canceling the request, you ensure transparency and allow the seeker to explore alternative options for obtaining feedback.
Please note that canceling a feedback request should be done responsibly and only when absolutely necessary. Maintain clear communication with the seeker and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation.
